A quick and simple summer dessert featuring smoky grilled peaches, creamy vanilla ice cream, and a sweet honey drizzle. Perfect for a fuss-free treat that feels special.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large ripe peaches, halved and pitted
  • 2 cups (480 ml) vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt
  • 3 tablespoons (45 ml) honey

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat (about 375°F/190°C). If using a stovetop grill pan, let it warm up for about 5 minutes.
  2. Rinse peaches and slice them in half lengthwise. Remove the pits carefully. Pat them dry with a paper towel to help with caramelization.
  3. Lightly brush the grill or grill pan with neutral oil (like canola or grapeseed) to prevent sticking.
  4. Place the peach halves cut-side down on the grill. Grill for 3-4 minutes without moving until grill marks appear and peaches soften slightly.
  5. Flip gently and grill for another 2-3 minutes skin-side down until tender but not mushy.
  6. Transfer the grilled peaches to a plate and let them cool for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Scoop about ½ cup (120 ml) vanilla ice cream into serving bowls.
  8. Place 2 peach halves on top of each scoop of ice cream.
  9. Drizzle about 1 tablespoon (15 ml) honey over each sundae.
  10. Optional: garnish with toasted nuts or fresh mint leaves.

Notes

Pat peaches dry before grilling to ensure caramelization instead of steaming. Use ripe but firm peaches for best results. Drizzle honey just before serving to keep its bright flavor. For dairy-free, use coconut or almond milk ice cream and substitute honey with maple syrup or agave nectar for vegan option.
