This easy copycat turkey and cracker Lunchable box is a homemade version of the classic lunch kit that saves money, tastes better, and lets you control the ingredients. It’s quick to assemble, perfect for lunchboxes, and a crowd-pleaser for both kids and adults.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 46 ounces turkey slices (oven-roasted or smoked turkey breast)
  • 23 slices cheddar cheese (or colby jack, gouda, provolone)
  • 1012 crackers (mini saltines, club crackers, or whole wheat Ritz)
  • 1 small handful grapes, apple slices, or berries (optional)
  • 12 tablespoons mustard, honey mustard, or ranch dressing (optional)
  • 12 tablespoons dark chocolate chips or small square of chocolate (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash your hands and prep your workspace. Clean your cutting board and gather all your ingredients.
  2. Slice the cheese into 1-inch squares or use cookie cutters for fun shapes. Aim for about 6-8 pieces per lunch.
  3. If turkey slices are large, cut them into halves or quarters so pieces are slightly smaller than your crackers.
  4. Count out 10-12 crackers and place them in a dry compartment of a bento box or lunch container.
  5. If including fruit, wash and dry it thoroughly. Place in a separate compartment. For dip, spoon a small amount into a silicone cup. For chocolate, add a few chips or a small square.
  6. Arrange everything in the container: crackers in one section, turkey in another, cheese in a third. Close the lid and refrigerate until ready to eat.
  7. If packing for later, keep the container in the fridge until you leave. Add an ice pack to keep everything cool.

Notes

Keep everything dry to prevent soggy crackers. Layer strategically: heavier items on bottom. Use an ice pack for food safety. Prep components ahead and assemble each morning for best texture. Don’t overfill the container.
