A quick and refreshing frozen strawberry margarita slush made with just five simple ingredients, perfect for summer sipping and casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (300g) frozen unsweetened strawberries
  • 1 cup (240 ml) tequila blanco (100% agave, e.g., Olmeca Altos or Espolòn)
  • 1/3 cup (80 ml) fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) simple syrup (equal parts sugar and water, dissolved and cooled)
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cups (240360 ml) ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Prep the ingredients by measuring out all components. Squeeze fresh lime juice and prepare simple syrup if not ready.
  2. Add frozen strawberries, tequila blanco, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup to a high-speed blender.
  3. Pulse a few times to start breaking down the fruit, then add ice cubes.
  4. Blend on high for 30 seconds to 1 minute until smooth and slushy.
  5. Check consistency and taste; adjust by adding water, more tequila, or ice cubes as needed.
  6. Serve immediately in glasses, optionally rimming with salt and garnishing with a strawberry or lime wheel.

Notes

For a smoother slush, let frozen strawberries sit out for 3-5 minutes before blending. Use quality 100% agave blanco tequila for best flavor. Avoid overblending to prevent melting the ice. Salt rim glasses with coarse kosher salt for best results. Adjust sweetness and tartness to taste after blending.
